So if you payed for say a cell phone and they told you they won't activate it for 3 weeks, you're fine with that?

That's a rather poor analogy.

As soon as you sign up for an account, you can download the program and use it... In the context of cell phone service, that's immediate activation.

This is more along the lines of, say, having new smart phone applications added to the app store only once a month, instead of as soon as they are ready.

DDI has always been set up for updates to occur monthly. It's worked fairly well for over a year or more now.

The fact is the updates do keep up with releases. This isnt a Windows product with automatic updates anyplace any time, its a product that takes time to update with new product so we need to expect time taken to get it right.

Has anyone seen the update today? I checked the Compendium and no Dark Sun or Psionic Power stuff in there yet.

I guess 9/21 we get both Dark Sun/Psionic Power AND Essentials.
