'fess up. A lot of you got D20 books for Christmas; how bloated is your collection worth now? While the options may look high to the layman, if a hardcover is $40 and you have a few of those as your prime collection with obligatory supplements, it's already building to be a large sum. I spent more then a few minutes counting mine up ... and, uh, I'm actually embarressed by the amount. It's odd too because they only take four feet of real estate on my bookshelf.

Over 6 feet here, but that includes magazines too...

I think you can EASILY get over $1000 without any non-fantasy stuff though...

Almost as large as my second edition collection already!

Not meaning to brag (OK, maybe just a little :) ), but it would be easier to list the items I don't have :D

Of course, it really has cost me a small fortune. Upon reflection, I could have bought me a good bass boat or perhaps paid off my car.

But if they ever put me in a retirement home...I can drag the books along with me and start a senior's gaming group. Yep, it's a good investment :)

So you're my Moneybag$ comrade. Welcome to the club.

Turns out I have 83 D20 books. I guessed the average price to be 15-20 bucks on average, so I'm in the 1000-2000 category.

I'm just glad we weren't doing this on an "all RPGs" basis, or I'd need you to add some more categories to the top end of the list :)

I've got over 200 3E books. Caudor, we can play together in the old folks home! We'll take turns DMing.

My husband, who plays but is far less enthusiastic about it than I am, says he doesn't mind how much I spend on D&D, but if I give up the hobby after the investment I've made, he'll be really pissed. So you see, I've gotta keep playing for the rest of my life.
