I've got over 200 3E books. Caudor, we can play together in the old folks home! We'll take turns DMing.

My husband, who plays but is far less enthusiastic about it than I am, says he doesn't mind how much I spend on D&D, but if I give up the hobby after the investment I've made, he'll be really pissed. So you see, I've gotta keep playing for the rest of my life.

That sounds like a plan, Buttercup :) Considering the size of our book collections by then, they might have to open up a new wing in the old folks home! I can't imagine going back to checkers.

At first, my family was not really thrilled about my collection either, but as time passed they actually started bringing books home to add to it. My brother calls from Half-Price books now & then and says "They have a shelf of D&D here...I wanted to see if you wanted any of this stuff".

I'm in the 1000 - 2000 range (but ignore the inappropriate poll comments); d20 fantasy only - the modern stuff is gunk.

I'm not going to post the full list here... but it comes out at 301 d20 products to date (not counting any free items, but including items that are not normally free which I got for free) and tallies up at SLIGHTLY under $4,000 USD (but a few of the products don't have an MSRP listed, and I was too lazy to look up the price on-line, so they are listed as zero value in the excel file).

I've got roughly $900 worth of d20 system stuff. However... if you went into the older editions....whooooo boy.

I'd say all told with every RPG product I own... I've got about two or three grand invested in gaming products.

Impressed

Wow, I'm REALLY impressed by the number of folks on the high end of the poll. So far the are 8 money bags! (will probably go up)

I had thought the collectors were a rare breed of gamer, but it appears this may be more common than I thought.

And I bet there would be more in the high end if it wasn't for obstacles like funding. As often the case, I am humbled by my peers.
