post YOUR original, single-use magical item

(okay, I think I have the right forum)

Please post your original, single use magical item. If you wish, provide its background. Here's one I've posted on a few boards and developed a little bit. I suppose its technically a "double-single" use item. Mine is a wondrous item, but bring on your potions or whatever else as well.

"Price of Escape" - This is a smaller-than-normal gold coin with a picture of wings on one side and feet on the other. To be used it must be kept in a purse, pocket, or whereever else a character keeps all of his or her coins. It is a single use magical item that allows the bearer to Dimension Door at 10th level as a standard action that does not provoke an attack of opportunity. After use, the coin becomes a small bit of chocolate in gold foil that when eaten restores 26 points of damage like a Maximized Cure Moderate Wounds spell at 10th level. I imagine this item as having been created by the church of Shaundakul in the FR - some of his clerics get dimension door as a domain spell and it seems they would make miscellaneous items useful for getting out of bad situations encountered while traveling.

Can of WhoopAss.

This stubby, round metal container contains a magical liquid that is very useful to an adventuring party. When opened and drunk like a potion, it affects the user as a potion of haste. If open and thrown as a grenade-like weapon with a range increment of 10', it explodes in a 5th level fireball, dealing 5d6 points of fire damage to all in a 20 ft radius of the explosion (Reflex DC 14).

A Can of WhoopAss can be opened before being used, but it goes flat and loses all its magical powers 5 rounds after being opened.

Cans of WhoopAss are typically found singly or in packs of six, there exists rumors of an even more powerful magic item, the 20 oz Bottle of WhoopAss (as Can, but 10th level, Cost 4500 gp) and the godlike 2 Liter Bottle of WhoopAss (As can, but Mass Haste or Meteor Storm, level 17, Cost 17850 gp)

Pocket Ball of Monster Summoning (Pokeball) - This ball is a half-red, half-white ball that, when struck by a solid surface causes a monster to appear as a Summon Monster spell. Most common types store shocker lizards.
 

One-Time Map

This is a blank piece of parchment of high quality but otherwise unremarkable appearance. On saying the command word, however, a map of the surrounding area, showing salient features including secret doors (but not traps, treasures or creatures) and large fixed objects (such as fountains, statues, obelisks; but not tables, candelabras, etc.) It is essentially two-dimensional, and although it will indicate staircases and the like by an appropriate symbol, it will not 'follow' them.

The character's current location is at the centre of the map, and the map covers a 160ft by 240ft area.

Having been used, the parchment is thence treated as any other, non-magical map.

If the map is written on unwiitingly before use, the writing may obscure some of the map detail (DM discretion.)
