I suppose that Soviet Agent Spalko (Cate Blanchett's character) must be from one of the Baltic republics since Spalko isn't a Russian name (nor is it Ukranian or Belorussian, for that matter).

Of course, the same could be said for Ivan Drago from Rocky IV as well as countless other "Russian" characters in Western films.

Shia LaBeouf and Karen Allen on set in Downey, California. Allen returns as Marion Ravenwood, Indy’s spunky girlfriend from the first film, while LaBeouf joins in—or so rumor has it—as Indy and Marion’s love child.

Set in 1957, the new film pits Indy against Russian Cold Warriors, including Cate Blanchett, whose character, Agent Spalko, looks like the toughest Soviet customer since Lotte Lenya’s Rosa Klebb took on Sean Connery in From Russia with Love.

'disputed origins'? that's putting it mildly... most have called them out and out fakes and the few real tests that have been done on them have found unmistakable signs of steel tool marks.

Still, I suppose I can suspend disbelief enough to go see it... it's Indiana Jones!
