Powdered Milk - Yum! (Or, what is your favorite weird drink?)

My favorite is what is affectionately known as a "suicide" - a bunch of soft drinks mixed together, preferably with a fruit juice added for "zing." Nothing like a Coke/Sunkist/Grape/Mountain Dew/Cranberry Juice mixer!

So did you name it a suicide - or has that term been used over the years for people that make soda mixers?

Fried Plantains - not a drink, but a desert.

Plantains are members of the banana family. It's a Cuban thing. Puerto Rican too.

We used to call mixed soft drinks "suicides" when I was just a lad. I remember the concession stands being set up at Track and Field day when I was in elementary school, and we'd all order suicides because it had such a cool name. Much cooler than "Coke and 7-Up", anyway.

I love me some powdered milk, but my dad refuses to buy it. Whenever I get to spend some time at my best friend's aprtment, he always makes me a nice big glass of powdered milk. Him and I love the stuff. Do you like powdered milk? What is one of your favorite drinks that other people think is weird?

Y'know, I've been wondering about this for the last few days - why don't you just buy some powdered milk for yourself? I don't buy it, but I can't imagine it being very expensive.

My finances are limited of late - my allowance for last month, this month and next month have been put into savings for Chrsitmas funds. Also, even though I do enjoy it - I wouldn't want to drink it everyday. I have an even fondness for 1%/Skim Milk.
