Power Attack/Greater Expertise at Epic Levels

Curious -- the SRD changes the mechanics of the ELH. Compare the citation to ELH p. 6.

I don't think it does. I was looking at my copy of the ELH when I posted my first response, but I don't have it handy now, care to post the quote?

We use exploding dice, though, so power attacking or using expertise for max isn't always a good idea (since a nat. 20 doesn't always hit).

I give up... did you deliberately choose a colour for the SRD quote that can't be seen on the default background?

That's odd -- it looks the normal color on my computer, and I'm using the regular color scheme.

Ah. Your quote is using the Windows Text setting.

If your desktop has Windows Text set to, say, light grey, you'll see it fine. If it's set to black (the default), then against the board's black background, it's invisible.

Hmmm. I turned off WYSIWYG editing in my forum settings and removed the color tags. Does that seem to fix it?

Of course, I'm using the "Windows Default" color scheme with my computer and "Use System Colors" with my browser, so I would expect it to be invisible on my system too. Perhaps Mozilla just renders the page differently.

Back on topic, the original text in the ELH was:
Epic Attack Bonus: Similarly, your base attack bonus does not increase after your character level reaches 20th. However, you do receive a cumulative +1 epic bonus on all attacks at every odd-numbered level beyond 20th, as shown on Table 1--1: Epic Save and Epic Attack Bonuses. To qualify for any feat that requires a minimum base attack bonus, use the sum of your base attack bonus and epic attack bonus.

Whoa. My ELH does not say that. It say mostly what you quoted way up above, from the SRD, and additionally adds a parenthetical specifically excluding iterative attacks. They must have changed some of the text on a reprint of the ELH or something.
