Yeah, this is random, and kinda pointless, but just out of curiosity, what do you guys think is the overall alignment of the Power Rangers?

Are they Lawful/Good, Neutral/Good, or Chaotic/Good?

and should transforming be a move action or a standard action?

*gets hit and sparks fly out*

((Yeah, my games are interesting hahaha))

Transforming is probably an immediate action. Otherwise it must have some quickened, silent, still effect that feebleminds the baddies since they never get attacked while transforming.

Same could be said for Sailor Moon and many others.

Alignment...I don't know, they're all a carefully chosen (by people in suits, not Lord Zed) diverse group of people, hard to pin them all down to one alignment, though it'd probably be NG or LG.

Transformation is either a full round action (thus it's finished before your turn's over) or a 1 round action that puts you into a Stasis-like effect where you cannot be harmed while it is being done.

In either case, savvy bad guy can ready an action to disrupt it, or perhaps get a feat or class feature to disrupt it as an immediate action, possibly then costing him his standard action the next round, similar to how the Reactive Counterspell feat works.

Transformation denied!

Lawful Good, in that they follow the orders of their commander, which in their case happens to be a floating head.

In rare occasions their transformation is disrupted. At least a Standard action, mostly because they tend to get a move action off before or afterward.

the actual duration is meaningless (and it is probably a readied action by four or five of them because all five or six transform together), what matters is that it doesn't provoke Attacks of Opportunity so it can't be interrupted (except in unusual circumstances, such as readied actions by the enemies)

IIRC, some of the rangers opposed Zordon time and time again. Also, some of them are acting childishly and without much thought, they make rash decisions, usually when they are dealing with B and S, or other peers. It even spills into their actions during time of stress, which in turn brought half the trouble when they were attacked.
I would say they are ranging from CG to NG, although some of them were LG and even N. And, we mustn't forget the Green ranger, right? He had the true alignment change.

As for transformation, I would say 1 immediate action. They do yell out the dinosaur names (other stuff in other versions, lol), but otherwise, they are transformed immediately with cameras showing their instant change with dramatic effects.
