Powers that are just COOL!

So, yesterday at work between calls I was flipping through my shiny new PHB that I'd gotten the not-unattractive customer service woman at Barnes & Noble to grab from the back for me, and I noticed:

Cloud Jump, Rogue Utility 22

"Encounter power, Trained in Athletics, make two jump checks with a +5 bonus...I don't have to land in between...OMG IT'S A DOUBLE JUMP!!!!!"

I would have *killed* for that on my first 3.0 character, seriously.

So, what other powers do you think are just cool, neat, or Rouse?

Bloody Path - Rogue Attack - level 15

You can move your speed. Every enemy that can make an opportunity attack against you as a result of this movement attacks itself with its opportunity attacjk rather than you.

It cannot refrain from making the attack to avoid harming itself.

Stop hitting yourself!

Trickster's Disposition (30th Level) - Once per day, you can tell the DM to treat to result of a d20 he just made as a 1. No rerolls are possible.

Stab and Grab to Garrote. Rogue moves, I believe level 15 daily and 17 encounter power.

Stab and grab lets you make an attack and grab the target for free if you hit. Garrote is kindof complicated but basically you jump on their back and garrote them, putting them in a grab.

The cool bit?

Garrote is only a minor action if you are already grabbing the target. AND if you are already grabbing the target it automatically hits. This. Is. SICK. Then, in the same turn, you can use an action point to use make another attack.

When I read all the rogue powers and was thinking about my dragonborn str based rogue, I pictured it like this.

Sprinting at the back of the Ogre, Azek throws his left hand dagger into the small of the Ogres back, causing it to howl and reel with pain. Using the lodged dagger as a step, Azek leaps up onto the Ogres back, kicking the dagger in further. Using his left hand he throws a cured Phane tendon around the ogres neck, pulling back savagly like on a horses bridal. Using his right hand he plunges his main-hand dagger forward, into the top of the ogres spine (action point Assasins Strike Rog 29 7w+double sneak attack damage) severing it completely. As the ogre crashes to the ground, Azek easily reclaims his weapons and slides off of the cresting wave smoothly, a cloud of blood and a spray of dust rising behind him.

DAMNIT THAT MOVE IS INSPIRATIONAL.

I just don't see how Banish to the Void (Star pact Warlock lvl 27) can be beaten. Throw someone beyond the stars and when they return (start of their next turn, as in, a couple seconds later) they've been driven insane by the horrors they've witnessed and attack EVERYBODY, with a bonus equal to your Int mod! I love it.

Knock The Down
Warlord Attack 9

The rhythm of your enemies hitting the ground is music to your ears.

Daily-Martial, Weapon
Hit:3[W]+STR modifier damage, and the target is knocked prone. Every ally within 10 squares of you can move 3 squares and make a melee basic attack against one target of his or her choice as a free action. These attacks deal no damage but knock a target prone on a hit.

Yeah....It's all that and a bag-o-chips.
