Practiced Spellcaster + Artificer

Would a multiclass artificer 5/fighter 4 with practiced spellcaster be able to create magic items with a caster level of 11? Or 9?

Thanks in advance.

Artificers are not spellcasters, so Practiced Spellcaster does not benefit them at all.

But even if an artificer could benefit from Practiced Spellcaster, I would say that it doesn't affect an artificer's effective caster level for purposes of item creation, based on this: "For purposes of meeting item prerequisites, an artificer’s effective caster level equals his artificer level +2. If the item duplicates a spell effect, however, it uses the artificer’s actual level as its caster level."

The effective caster level is based on artificer level, not caster level. Practiced Spellcaster doesn't increase your artificer level, it increases your caster level; therefore, it would not help.

I agree with Vegepygmy.

An artificer's ability to create magic items is based on his class level, not his infuser level. And that's even if there was a Practiced Infuser feat that mirrored Practiced Spellcaster.

I agree also, an artificer is not a spellcaster, it specifically states so in the class write up. The items they create are also neither arcane nor divine - which also supports the context of them not being spellcasters.
