PrC and cheesy abilities

gfunk

First Post
Some PrC in the splatbooks get blanket resistances to certain spell effects such as the Church Inquisitor and Holy Liberator. Both are (at a certain level anway) immune to charm/compulsion spells and effects.

Do you guys think this is too cheesy? Have any of you rule-zeroed the ability or PrC?

Also does this immunity also work against related supernatural abilities like the dominate ability of a Formian Taskmaster?

Thanks.

It doesn't matter if the spell or effect came from a spell, spell-like ability, supernatural ability, etc. If it's charm/compulsion, it just doesn't work.

Also, I don't have a problem with it. I don't think it would imbalance anything.

The Immunity to Charms and Compulsions is similar to Paladin's Immunity to Fear. Just seems like a simple parallel (more of that crazy paladin stuff...)
