PrCs with divine grace for sorc.

Crazy question: Is there a class/PrC which give a minimal loss of arcane caster levels and provides divine grace? Needs to be possible for a CG character.

My Vow of Proverty Sorc. has a really really hard time with making saves. (He could kill a mirror of himself in a single spell with something like an 85% likelyhood of success.) Most fighters of his level (15) have better will saves (they have +5 resistance items and maybe a luck or insight bonus to saves). Reflex and Fort are really bad. But he does have a 25 Chr. So...

Hi!

The Holy Liberator [Complete Divine] has Divine Grace AND is an option for a CG character, but..... the loss of arcane CLs is 4 levels..... ;) Besides, the HL only has good Fort saves.

Than we have the Platinum Knight [Draconomicon], who has Bahamut's Grace (as Divine Grace). You must achieve 5 levels of PK to get that option and you loose "only" three CLs, but at least you gain 2 CLs of "existing class". It's an "any good" PrC. On top of that this PrC has good Fort AND Will saves.

And than you can go with the Champion of Gwynharwyf [Book of Exalted Deeds]. It's an "CG" PrC and you gain Divine Grace at 2nd level, giving up two CLs of sorcerer. This PrC has only good Fort saves.

Enjoy and kind regards

Hmm.... don't know about prestige classes, but Greater Heroism (Sor/Wiz 6), will give you a +4 morale bonus, Resistance (Sor/Wiz 0) will give you a +1 Resistance bonus on saves, Can't take protection from spells, the various Protection From spells give a situational +2 resistance bonus, Haste gives a +1 Dodge bonus to reflex saves, Moment of Precience (Sor/Wiz 8) gives you a boost of your caster level to a save, once per casting, and can be cast first thing in the morning (lasts 16 hours for a sorceror of a minimum level that can actually cast it), and doesn't the Vow of Poverty have a resistance bonus in there somewhere? (don't have the sourcebook handy).

Yeah, +2 at this level as I recall. Nothing compared to what money will buy you....

Thanks for the thoughts on the spells. I will have to look into some of those.

Unearthed Arcana's CG variant paladin of freedom gets divine grace at 2nd level. Plus there's a feat in complete adventurer that lets you use Charisma in place of Wisdom for mind-affecting spells and SLAs.

Easiest way to boost saves for a VOP character is Superior Resistance from Savage Species. You gain a +6 resistance bonus to saves for 1 hour per caster level.

What Race are you? The Master of the Yuirwood PrC from Unapproachable East has full casting progression, 3/4 BAB, and a good fort save. It grants Forest's Grace (Divine Grace) at 9th level....admittedly a long way off, but you wouldn't lose any caster levels. The class is only open to elves and half-elves.

It does have some killer Prereq's though....Track, Alertness, 5? ranks in know (nature), and 10 ranks in survival. Though a 1 level dip into ranger could ease that somewhat.

I'm not saying it is the best option; I'm just letting you know the option is there.

2 levels Paladin of Freedom (UA variant CG paladin). If you can convince your DM that CG is close enough to NG, 2 levels of Soldier of Light (D&Dg) would get you that and Turn Undead (in case you want any nifty divine feats).
