Presents!

I received several fun gaming or -related gifts this year, including:

  • _Dominion_ from Rio Grande Games (a fun strategic card game)
  • _Panopticon_ for the _Eclipse Phase_ rpg
  • the new _Conan_ film
  • _Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me_
  • Transatlantic's _Whirlwind_ on CD
  • Umberto Eco's new book, _The Prague Cemetery_
  • Neil Gaiman's new edition of _American Gods_

I got to teach several family members how to play Dominion tonight, in fact =)

I got myself a Kindle Fire for Christmas, and in the last few sessions, it has been useful to keep game notes and such.

Yep, I opened up my present early. One of the prerogatives of buying it for myself. :)

Nothing gaming-related under the tree, but ordered The One Ring RPG and some miscellaneous Warhammer 40K RPG supplements with some holiday cash...

Didn't get anything gaming related for myself, but I did purchase three Pathfinder Beginner Boxes for my son and two nephews. They're already interested in gaming, and I've run a few games for them (mostly Star Wars Saga) but I wanted something for them to start nrunning their own games with and the BB seemed perfect.

I had a very Paizo theme as far a gaming goes and is as follows:

Pathfinder RPG Beginner Box
Pathfinder Bestiary
Pathfinder Ultimate Combat
Pathfinder Ultimate Magic
Pathfinder GM's Screen
Pathfinder Faiths of Purity
Pathfinder Guide to Ustalav
Pathfinder Advanced Players Guide

I'm very pleased with all I've gotten. After so much time playing 4E it's nice to get into some familiar territory again, nostalgia aside.

Happy Pathfindermas!

Some very good choices, too - the Advanced Player's Guide is where Pathfinder became its own game for me. :)
