Prestige Class Feat tax?

I agree with Dandu. It throws a lot of spontaneous role playing fun out the window for people considering a Prestige Class. I would let my players retain their feats in order to enter a Prestige Class when they qualify as long as it doesn't create an otherwise impossible character optimization.
