That's a really interesting criticism, and one that I will definitely keep in mind. If you could elaborate on it, that would be really useful. What is it that you don't feel flows naturally? The use of ranged weapons or the psychological aspect? Or is it the entire concept of nonmagical controllers that just doesn't seem to work for you?

Wizards don't have to go out of their way to control the battle field. Blasts of all kinds flow naturally from the arcane.

Volleys (already the territory of rangers and rogues)
Stares (for the record I do think those are nice)
Dust/Sand (meh)
melee bursts (fighter and ranger territory)
Caltrops

but that's about it. How do you fill a power list with just those abilities?
How do even make any of those epic?


Wizards flow into the controller role so well large categories of iconic spells had to be omitted from their power list and then added in as dragon articles
