So I read issue #1. I liked it a lot until I got to the end where they give us adric's character sheet. They did him up as a knight instead of a warlord which I don't mind too much except the author flat out said he was a warlord. Then there is the fact that the guy has a 26 ac At 7th level while wearing only +2 chain and a +2 light shield (I kid you not!). Seriously though if they want to promote essentials they need to do it right instead of printing incorrect stats.

I was a bit wary of a new D&D comic, but I have to say that D&D #1 has the most awesome opening page of just about any comic I've read, and I loved it. ^_^

They didn't really say light shield +2, did they?

Yes.

"+2 Vicious Saber
+2 Chainmail
+2 Light Shield"

Plus Gauntlets of Blood and Belt of Vigor.
Feat-wise, Improved Defenses (which increase his NADs by 1) and Heavy Blade Expertise (which gives him +2 vs. opportunity attacks).

The only way can get him to a 26 ac is if I use both 4th edition and 3.5 thinking. 10 +9 ac ( feymail +2 ) +3 (+2 light shield) +3 (level/2) +1 (+1 dex mod)= 26

Anyone else have a better explanation?
