DRAGON MAGAZINE #352 JAN. 2007
This issue offers a massive feature on the world of author China Mieville’s “Perdido Street Station,” bringing the popular races, characters, and equipment of his Bas-Lag books to the Dungeons & Dragons game! Written by Wolfgang Baur, with extensive input from Mieville himself, the feature includes new information on Mieville’s world and maps of the city of New Crobuzon and its surroundings. The issue also includes “The Ecology of the Yrthak,” and several D&D-related articles.

DUNGEON MAGAZINE #143 JAN.2007
At 100-pages monthly, Dungeon easily delivers the best value in hobby gaming! The Savage Tide Adventure Path surges forward in “Tides of Dread,” by Steve Greer and Gary Holian! The action takes place on the infamous Isle of Dread, a locale that has haunted D&D players since its introduction in 1981. Alec Austin’s “Diplomacy” features a roleplaying-heavy foray into the dangerous politics of the Outer Planes, and “The Andurian Job,” a low-level bank heist in the Eberron setting, rounds out the issue.

Well, the Perdido Street Station stuff has been in the works for, what, over a year now? It was announced quite a while back, and then quietly pulled, and we've been waiting ever since.

I've never seen a book by China Mieville, translated or otherwise, in our bookstores. What's Perdido Street Station all about?
