not quite sure, but their is a blindfold in mic called blindfold of true darkness. 9000 gold, but gives blind sight out to 30 feet. You give up any other sight you may have.

Thanks. I'm thinking 10 000gp then. The item belongs to an NPC and is a half-mask covering her blinded eye (and the heavily scarred part of her face). The value will only be important if the PCs manage to loot her body.

Powered by an artificier infusion is a greater restriction than the blindfold of truedarkness (which is a constant item) and you are charging MORE for it?

24 hours/day for one infusion is effectively constant too. The drawback of the blindfold, that you lose all vision beyond 30' is major imo, more of a drawack than using an infusion.

I'm with Doug on it being a lesser restriction. The blindfold means you are completely blind beyond 30ft, which is pretty crippling, if you don't notice the dragon until it breaths on you. You can't read, or distinguish shade or colour. That's a pretty major restriction, chances are you aren't going to even put it on unless the situation calls for it. IE: You won't put it on until you've already been sneak attacked once by the invisible rogue, or you are facing a displacer beast, etc.

The half mask still allows you to see as normal, so you can walk round all day with it on without a drawback but now you can detect any creatures hiding or invisible within 30ft without needing to roll, you are immune to blinding attacks, negates displacement and blur.

I'd be tempted to make it more than 10,000gp.
