Good points. At 24.95$ I would be inclined to buy, even if I find it a little bit costly without a hardcover. But it's been said KotS will be priced 29.95$.

Well, if you consider Fantastic Locations a good deal, I don't see why KotS wouldn't be a better deal, since it gives about six times the content for merely twice the price.

Because I know page printing is not that expensive when it's done massively. EDIT: What is expensive is full-color map printing, full-colored pages, the choice of cover, transportation, stocking fee, etc.

Additional covers (which individual booklets need) cost more money (printing two 64 page books is more expensive than printing one 128 page book) and a higher overall page count means more cost incurred to pay writers and artists for the content, along with the cost incurred by the additional poster map.

Anyway, I would be interested if I had a group of players. But unfortunately I lost my contacts years ago. I need to build a new group and I don't know when this will happen. Until then, I will wait.

I would prefer to buy a cheap PDF version which have no impact on the environment (when not printed), but I'm on the margin, consumers who think green.

I just checked at Amazon.com. At 19.77$ it's a good price, indeed. I'll order it next week, even if I haven't any players yet. It'll be mostly to borrow ideas to create my first campaign in 4E.

The issue I'm struggling with is whether I want to pay the money for what? A 17 day head start on the new rules? If it were out now yeah, I might splurge. But for a preview so close to the main event? Not that interested.

KotS is more than just a preview, though that is included. It is the first of the 3-part heroic tier adventure series.

I'm paying the money for the first of the Heroic Path adventures, which will lead onto H2, then H3, then P1, then P2...

Cheers!
