Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

I'm a huge, huge fan of the entire series. (Okay, not PoP-3d, but all the rest.)

Sands of Time stands out as the best in the entire line of games, so I was very nervous about this movie. I didn't want it to 'ruin' the franchise.

That said, I did enjoy it for what it was. A good popcorn movie, with some nice action. I really liked the sand effect and the way they incorporated the acrobatics from the game without making it look *too* unlikely. Considering that the love story was pretty much lifted whole-cloth from Sands of Time, I thought it was a pretty decent take on it. Finally, I like that the general structure of the story was similar to the structuring of the original game.

I think a few things could have definitely been improved, but overall I enjoyed it. It might be because I went in with low expectations. :)

I think this is one of the better videogame-to-film translations... which is some pretty weak praise. Heh.

I liked it

lots of leaping ala the game
lots of stabbing
female more than just eye candy and quite nailz herself
lots different factions
not sure what peril would come next
some kewl moments
good comic relief
I wasnt exactly sure where it was going so kept me attentive
not a really long movie but lots seemed to happened
Lurved the Hassanssins
my old eyes managed to follow the action
way better than C.O.T.T.

Video game becomes decent movie?

My GF wants to see it, but I'm not excited. I've grown tired of big action movies with crap plot/scripts. Clash was decent on two parts: Liam and Ralph, that's it. And Gemma is hot. GI Joe had Chris and line-less Ray, and Sienna and another hottie. That's it.

I just feel burned out on all flash and no substance. I'm not in to newer video games either. I'll probably see it at some point though.

Absolutely not, to remember it I'd have to have seen it, and I would never do such a thing!

Anyway, this movie has made me want to play the newer game (I think it's called "the sands of time"; not sure)for the PS3 .

The new game is The Forgotten Sands, I enjoyed it. It was just what I was looking for in a PoP game, it is however short and I the combat isn't anything special (I didn't care because it's not the point to me, the platforming is).
