D&D 5E Printer Errors in Some Monster Manuals

Why do I get the feeling that Amazon is going to ship me one of these defective copies...

Did they give any indication of whether the shipment that will be delivered for the 30th will be likewise affected? I know it's the same print run, so there will presumably still be batches with the problem, but will they be able to pre-check them before they go out, or will stores/customers have to check them when they get them?

I didn't speak to them, so no indication right now. I will check on Monday.

Fortunately, Amazon has awesome customer service, but I'd rather not have to use it .

I expect the latter, simply due to logistics. It would take days and days to check every single Monster Manual that's being shipped out, especially if only a tiny fraction of them are affected. Although I guess most of the people who would nerd rage over it being late already own it...

What about missing pages in the Starter Set? Specifically, the Part 2/Magic Items page (before stapling, they're the same)? Or am I the lucky one?

Got my Amazon copy, no smudge. They also upgraded it to overnight shipping for no extra cost for some reason...

Received my copy from Amazon, and pages 1-8 and 9-16 have cutting problems, where the registration colors show at the top of the pages, and the pages are stuck together. Hopefully these pics from my phone post okay...

A late one, as I received my copy from Amazon last week. They shipped me overseas a book that had the left half of the Kraken's face (along with the Kobold stat block's right half) ripped off.

And I can't refund this because I signed the top of my book before I noticed the problem (plus the geographic fact that I live on the west side of the Pacific Ocean, way across from NA). What a shame, at least there weren't any other problems...

I have a page like that in mine, I don't think it's the gargoyle page though. No biggie for me, but I can see why others might want it fixed.
