Problem w/large posting on 17-Jan-2007

Cf:

Guys, Merric's Law is dead-on. No matter how much you may want something different, the economics of the game business simply won't allow another model to succeed at D&D's level. (And by "succeed," I don't just mean "make money for WotC." I also mean "get minis into the hands of gamers who want them.")

Could this perhaps been limited to just the above posting, with a link to the full text? (I have to say that the lack of a link with the full text is annoying, but I'd rather not see the full text on the main page, so this point is moot.)

By posting this so prominently, the site basically agreeing with the statements made in the posting. If a thoughtful response that disagrees with the statements is posted, would that also be placed on the main page? Does en-world really want to get enmeshed in this discuession on its front page?

Thx,

Tom Bitonti

It's comments from a (now ex) WotC exec, posted as EN Wolrd always has done. If someone from WotC says something interesting, and we're aware of it, it gets posted. Reporting that "X said this" does not mean anything other than "X said this".
