Problems with Complete Character Sheet PDFs?

Earlier today, I downloaded several of the new 'Complete' Character Sheets from the WotC site:

When I open the files, I cannot view the last page. Every time I try, I get an error that says:

The encoding (CMap) specified by a font is missing.

Then all of the other pages go blank.

I tried viewing the file on two computers running WindowsXP. One had the Adobe Acrobat Reader 6, the other had version 7. The same thing happened on both machines.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

No problems here. I also use Adobe 7.

I got the same error (4 page version of the Scout) with the single one I downloaded, so I didn't try any more of them. It's possible that some of their files are corrupted, and not others. But I have no interest in playing any of those classes, nor of allowing them into my game, I'm not going to test that theory by downloading the whole batch.

I just double-checked, and had no problems. Did you get them just as tehy came out? Wondering if this was a problem that they fixed shortly after posting...

I had exactly the same problem. Some of the sheets open OK and some of them don't. There is a similar thread to this one on the WotC General D&D messageboard. Hopefully WotC will fix it on Monday.

From what I gather from the WotC boards, it's the ones from Complete Adventurer that are causing the problems. I tried the 4 page ninja, the 2 and 4 page scout, and the 2 page warlock, and the ninja and both the scout ones gave me the error.

The Complete Warrior ones were doing the same for me... it seems the two caster book (arcane and divine) seem safe.

The font it wants is Helvetica condensed light sc700, as far as I've gathered. If you own that font, it will use it locally. If not, it errors.

I had the problem pop up with the swashbuckler sheet. I'm not all that put out by it because other than having a few boxes checked next to the skill list I don't see what is so special about them. Is there anything on the last page that makes this worth using?

Yeah, I tried the Warrior ones after I posted, and they did the same for me. I can't figure out what that last page is either, FWIW.

However, I just tried the Scout 4 page with Mac OS X Preview, and it works in that. The last page is just a description of class features.
