Products You'd Like WoTC to do

Something to follow the cold, deserty and sea books. Something different agani, that is. But similarly crunchy and (IMO) useful. That'd be nice.

Good thing is, I imagine they'll do that anyway. Yay! :)

What else... hmm... MMIV! No, I'm not kidding actually. I am in fact a monster junkie, and there is no cure.

Well, I've mentioned some of these before, but...

1) I'll second the Expanded Oriental Adventures. That said, I don't see any good reason that a third-party company couldn't do this just as well (couldn't include Kara-tur or Rokugun, but I don't really consider those huge losses.)

2) A Draconomicon-style book dealing with Humanoids. Preferably covering orcs, goblinoids, gnolls, kobolds and lizardfolk. This is distinct from a "Races of" book on the same races, since that would be unlikely to contain lots of pre-generated stats, warbands, and DM material, in favour of feats, prestige classes, and other player material.

3) Actually, more deluxe monster books in general would be good. These are some of my favourites from the past few years. I think fey and giants are probably the best remaining choices.

4) An environment-series book on planar hazards. The existing books are good, but they cover real-world environs, or fantasy versions of the same, but surely there must be more extreme conditions in the planes?

5) Likewise, more environment books in general would be good. I think forests and mountains would make good candidates, and there's probably even room for one on plains as well.

6) Adventure modules written by Bruce Cordell.

And my dream product, which is a massively powerful DM aide for the computer. But I don't think that's even possible in the current edition any longer - there's just too much accumulated lore.

I'm primarily a DM, and the single biggest problem I face with the game is that it requires too much preparation. The products I've mentioned are all DM aides of some sort. The simple fact is that I really don't need yet more feats, prestige classes, or other options for PC customisation (I don't object to them; I just don't need them). But anything that would make a measurable impact on the difficulty of preparing a game session (or generating new adventures) would be gratefully received.

I like the ideas for the equipment book, the monster book, and the Planescape book. After that? Book of Fey, Races of the Planes, Book of Constructs... maybe a book to try to incorporate dinosaurs or plants into a game...

2. Alternity d20, as its own book.
"Alternity d20" makes about as much sense as "GURPS d20." Sci-fi d20 has been handled by d20 Modern/Future (such as it is), and I doubt there'll be much done in an alternate vein. Star*Drive d20 would be nifty, though.

Personally, I'd like to see a Dark Sun for 3.5e, preferably written by some of the people involved in doing the setting in 2e (to make sure they have a good handle on what the world is supposed to be - the stuff in Dragon/Dungeon is NOT it). And Alternity 2nd ed, but that has even less chance.

Planescape is about the only thing that I'd like to see WotC do that they haven't done already.

Otherwise, I'm pretty sated - especially with 3rd party publishers already providing good adventures...

I want to see something new. Eberonn is new, that's good. I don't want countless reprints of old settings. I imagine those setting stopped being published for a reason, so let's move forward into the future......

* Psionic's Handbook 3.5 ;)

* More Forgotten Realms region books for the common regions (Cormyr, Dalelands, Heartlands, Moonsea, Sword Coast, etc) updating all the 1st/2nd edition stuff. :)

1. Another vote for Expanded Oriental Adventures.
And a book to follow it up four months later called Complete Orient.

2. A Draconomicon-style book about giants and another one about fey.
These should be heavy on art content.

3. A book about goblinoids and orcs called Races of the Horde.

4. A book about PC races that have psionics (Races of Mentalism).
Hopefully psionics content will include a base class with at will psionic powers akin to the warlock from Complete Arcane. Sooner or later the psionics books should include a Draconomicon-style book about psionic monsters.

5. Player's Handbook II featuring equipment, advice, and a traditional Western monk.

6. Complete Monster - a totally redesigned (ala Savage Species: 4th edition) take on playing monster characters.

7. More monster manuals. :D
