Because future setting + photo shoot = awesome.

Imagine: Europa, Jupiter's most active moon. The model is stretched out on the surface, nude, bright silver hair forming a halo perfectly framing her face, the whole scene backed by Jupiter's full glory...

Ooooh, this calls for a Mecha Crusade tangle.... :D

I like your idea, Mr. Knightfall. It also sounds a lot like that Totally Spies! cartoon my younger sister watches.....

Think James Bond meets Playboy meets Firefly meets Hollywood.

Time to ressurect this thread...

I've decided that I'm going to design this using Mutants & Masterminds instead of d20 Modern. Plus, I've created a page for the setting on Facebook.

Project: Phoenix Facebook Page

I still want to create this premise as an actual setting book, but I'm going to wait to see what M&M 3e is like before I commit to designing it as such.

That has a very 80's feel to it...almost Miami Vice in Space, maybe with a touch of Burn Notice and Models Inc.

I can see the Miami Vice connection. I always liked that show.

However, since this game will be set in early to mid half of the 21st century, I like to think of it more like James Bond meets Firefly (or Buck Rodgers) meets Danger Girl meets Playboy.

And I've decided that I'm going to call Danger Management's in-house pinup magazine Sidewinder. Think guns and girls plus tattoos, music, and tech stories. Heh.

One of the other major teams is known as Team Extreme!, which includes some of the toughest MMA fighters on the planet. Well, at least those that have been banned from fighting in MMA events. :D
