Projector suggestions?

I have a projector on the way and was wondering how well my [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Chessex-Role-Playing-Play-Mat/dp/B000XQQHK8"]beige vinyl Chessex MegaMat[/ame] will work as a "screen" t project the image onto. Maybe someone here has tried this?

I tried my old battlemat and it worked fine.

Thank you for checking, your reply makes me happy. Now I can (hopefully) project a battlemap onto my Chessex Map and use the mat's squares!

the squares don't show up very well. Depending on the software you use, some let you do a grid overlay. If the map being projected has a grid, then matching up to the grid on the battlemat will work. Now remember I'm baseing this off my battlemat that has light gray squares. Your experiance might be different.
