Pronunciation of Handles

mine is really "un-English", but I'll try.

....

Nope, I can't think of a way. It really is the french word (and pronounciation) of the color Brown.

And, if I may,

Isn't the name Thenardier (notice the R)
I'm pretty sure that it is, at least in it's original language :)

It might be. To be totally honest, I just kinda looked it up online one day because I was too lazy to go looking for the book and I might have found a mispelling. But it stuck. :)

Ga(as in "apple")-Leh(as in "Let")-Thorn(I sure hope you can pronounce 'thorn')

People have always been assuming it was "Gale-thorn", which is really irritating.

My-kull T'ree (like 'Treat' but without the final T)

One more smart...um, pattootie.. comment won't hurt anyone. :D

It's a nickname a friend gave me. Michael's my real first name, and Tree came from my tendency to loom (I'm 6'3 and broadly built).

\Worm"wood\, n.
[Middle English wormwode, akin to OHG. wermuota, wormuota, G. wermuth, wermut; of uncertain origin.]
1. (Bot.) A composite plant (Artemisia Absinthium), having a bitter and slightly aromatic taste, formerly used as a tonic and a vermifuge, and to protect woolen garments from moths. It gives the peculiar flavor to the cordial called absinthe. The volatile oil is a narcotic poison. The term is often extended to other species of the same genus.
2. Anything very bitter or grievous; bitterness. "Lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood." (Deut. Xxix)
3. A minor tempter.

"Now Wippit, into shape,
shape it up, get straight
go forward, move ahead
try to detect it, it's not too late
to Wippit, Wippit Guud"

And, for the record, I don't like the song.
