Proxie Question

Paragon

Wielder of the Power Cosmic
1. In the proxie section of the Dieties and Demigods book it states that someone invested with the proxie status becomes a rank 1 divine person (demigod) and gets access to the salient abilities of the granting diety, taking into consideration that there will be some he can't use due to various factors, divine rank, ability scores, etc.
Correct?
2. it then seems to contridict that in the example provided, which seems to have several errors in it.
as well as in the part discussing how many salient abilities are granted per divine rank.
are proxies outside this? which part is right and which part is wrong?
any ideas?
thanks!

I have not read the book myself (I use my own system for divine beings), but text generally is given dominant treatment over examples. I'd go with the text instead of the example.
