See, I find it hard to do this. It's almost impossible to generalize about such things, and judging for me is more instinct than running down a checklist and ticking things off.
I'll admit that I favor a solid, well told or constructed story or scenario over something that makes brilliant use of the pictures but doens't really hold together well, but that's just me.
Beyond that, I figure you're best bet's to read through the critiques of the last contest. It's probably the closest you'll get to a rough idea of how judging comes down
