Pseudodragon Cohort

I'm about to be able to take the feat Draconic Cohort next level. (I'm a CG Bard 6/Dragonsong Lyrist 2). I was thinking of getting a Pseudodragon with class levels. Since its alignment is different than mine, my Leadership score will be (9 + 4 - 1) = 12, more than enough to do so. It would be limited to my level - 2, which would make it ECL 7. However, with the Draconic Cohort feat, its ECL is considered to be three lower for the purposes of a Cohort. So its HD + LA = 5 - 3 = 2, which would give it 5 levels to begin with.

What classes would you give it? I'm limited to pretty much anything WotC has published.

Bard seems appropriate... though not the most powerful choice.

I can really see it being a scout. THe hit and run tactics, many skill points so it can hide even better, and some cool and interesting other abilities as well.

So, first new feat would be Improved Flight, so it can move way above the fight and still get its skirmish ability. What kind of weapon could/should it use? It would have 4,300 GP to spend.

I'd see if you can afford to get something to augment it's tail attack. With the increased in levels the DC for that should increase .

Still, with +2d6 from the scout ability, and my ability to cast Invisibility on it, I think it'll work out great. But, I'm still open to other ideas. Anyone?
