  • Maybe. I might allow psionics, but nobody at my table seems interested.

  • No. Psionics doesn't fit my particular game style.

  • Absolutely not. Psionics doesn't belong on the same shelf as D&D.

Absolutely, even Non-core

Assuming "Non-core" means anything by Bruce Cordell.

My homebrew halflings (think ghostwise + talenta + kalashtar) are innately psionic (the only such PC race).

No, I don't use Psionics in my homebrewed campaign (it is allowed in published settings that use it). Psionics works fine in Sci-fi, Superheroes, or PA settings, but I don't like it in my fantasy.

That said, I'm one of the last holdover's in my group who hasn't given in to psionics.

I voted "Absolutely. I allow psionics, even non-core stuff."

That's not to say that I don't consider game balance, but I'm quite comfortable with psionics. It helps that I'm not wedded to a pseudo-medieval, Tolkienesque "traditional" style of D&D.

In fact, I designed a setting for which the major premise was a three-cornered conflict between societies which were dependent upon (arcane) Magic, Psionics, or Nature (druidic magic). Clerical magic was absent.

For me it all goes back to the 1E PHB, where psionics were part of the rulebook (albeit an optional part). On my 3.5E bookshelf, the EPsHB sits with the three core books, between the DMG and MMI.

I do love Tolkien's works, and incidentally the influence he had on some aspects of fantasy, but that doesn't stop me from wanting something different for my D&D game, which IMO represents a different style of fantasy in and by itself.

So... there. Just wanted to point out one can love psionics and Tolkien as well. :)

Yeah, I use psionics quite a bit. In my halfling and epic games, at least one pc is psionic, they've dealt with many psionic foes at one point or another, and I'm perfectly willing to let non-core psionic stuff into my campaign, assuming it passes my strict dm scrutiny.

That said, I do prefer to keep magic much more common and accessible than psionics.

I believe Psionics to be grossly overpowered and dont use or allow them. I'm not down with OPP (Over Powered Psionics)

They're not anymore overpowered than Wizards are. :\
