PTOLUS - Who has pre-ordered?

Speaking of which, has Malhavoc even done anything recently besides the last Iron Heroes book a while ago? Seems like they've basically given up everything else to do this Ptolus thing and if not, I must be several books behind I need to get.

The Spell Treasury, a huge hardcover AE spellbook came out in March and the Ptolus Player's Guide just came out.

Monte, did the Iron Heroes Bestiary ever come out in print? If so, we never got one in at the store and I'll need to rectify that. :)

I'm not Monte, but I have a copy on the shelf by my desk, so I'd say it did.

I pre-ordered as soon as it was announced.

I intend to run it next year - after I've had a chance to digest its vastness.

I preordered. It seems like Malhavoc and Necro are the only big-ish publishers outside of WotC to keep the d20 fantasy lifeblood flowing. So I'll stick with 'em.

Here, here. I buy both their products liberally.

I preordered it the day preorders were made available. I am starting a Wilderlands Campaign soon, so I might use it for a PbP game to start out. We'll see where it goes from there.

I am not sure if it would fit well in the Wilderlands, so I don't think I will try to shoehorn it in there. But, for sure, I will utilize it fully.

...I plan to run my next campaign using Ptolus by using Arcana Evolved and D&D side by side, plus a host of other d20 materials...

I will do the same for my PbP game. I am beginning to see how AE and D&D can run side by side, though I will need to houserule a few D&D things to make it work.

The basic premise is that Gygafrak, the deity of goblinoids, is about to embark on his third major war to capture the world of Arrasia. I'm going to run a modified version of The Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh as a prelude to The Redhand of Doom, with a few side advetures along the way. This war, however, is only a prelude to main event and the adventurers will be equipped with vital information which will aid the forces of good defeat Gygafrak. Ptolus is likely to be one of the major northern cities (so it won't be called Ptolus...), where (probably) the characters will end up before the war really kicks off.

Hey Keith -- which Kyngdoms city will you use for Ptolus?

Thanks for bring that to my attention, Monte.

That option was not available (or I totally missed seeing it) when I tried to preorder once the Ptolus preorder was announced, and then again, when I checked about a month ago.

Good news, indeed.

Thank you.

I preordered it.

I hope that I will be able to run a game in Ptolus. Otherwise I'm sure that it will provide plenty of inspiration!
