Published adventures- need recommendations

Nothing against Barakus, but I say wait for the Complete Rappan Athuk from Necromancer Games! 3.5 And should be fun!

I can't find any information on the Complete Rappan Athuk. When is this supposed to be released?

RttToEE can be quite a dungeon grind, but with a bit of work you can make it a very nice campaign. Go to Monte Cook's message boards at http://pub102.ezboard.com/fokayyourturnfrm17 for tons of ideas on how to spice up the role playing in the adventure and the DM's there even converted the adventure to comply with 3.5 edition rules. By using some of the ideas posted on this message board I was able to run RttToEE and keep my players interested and having fun through the entire mega adventure.

From what I've seen it's in the distant future. 2005 perhaps.

My understanding is that it is still in the talk about stage, not actually on the production schedule. I haven't taken a look at the schedule in a while, so it may actually be there. Of course that thing is altered so often it is usually more frustrating than helpful.

Rappan Athuk is not for first levels.

Well didn't know we were talking about first level characters. But I figure a party of say 10-15 1st level adventurers COULD assault RA, at least the first two levels.

If you're looking for complete adventurers outside of Dungeon, The Mysterious Tower by Goodman Games is for 3rd-5th level games and has a lot of dungeon crawling and is true to it's 1st edition feel motto.

And yes guys I know the complete RA 3.5 is still in the talking stages, but I have hopes that they will get it started so that we can see it late 2004, early 2005.

I'm running this now and it is one of the most fun modules I have ever run. I highly recommend it. Worth every cent!

I was assuming this whole thread was about starting a new campaign which would be starting at first level. Especially since he didn't specify, that was why I made sure he would know RA wasn't good for 1st levels.

Also, I don't think 15 1st levels would make it past the first room of RA, unless one of the players, or more, is pretty sharp.

Mm good point about the last one. Yeah well if they are silly enough to go to the bathroom together...well not our fault eh?
