D&D 5E Published war-themed adventures?

I always thought that war is an appealing background to set and adventure in. It also would work great to explain why the adventurers are together, be it that they are part of an army (setting an enemy city under siege or defending their own) or an elite platoon carrying over dangerous missions. However, I don't know of any published adventure that has done so, and my Google-fu isn't turning anything up.
Do anyone knows about a published adventure themed like that?

If you search War RPG on Amazon you do get several hundred finds... mostly older Star Wars titles.

If Modern there is the following... and of course the Rpgnow.com and relevant websites that may have some rules.

Blood & Guts
Force on Force

I can think of lots for previous editions (hell, I published an entire 12-part adventure path set during a massive fantasy war for 3.5 and 4E) but not for 5E.

Héroes of battle from 3rd era could help. I believe that kingmaker (from pathfinder) has some wars, but first you have a long way till you create your kingdom and army. Still you can find those rules on Ultimate Campaign.
I think that in the complete warrior there are some tips to introduce war at your campaign.

I was going to suggest War of the Burning Sky. I imagine it would convert well to 5e.

Red Hand of Doom had some elements of this. The first three-quarters of the campaign were about forging alliances and stalling the advance of an invading army, culminating in the defense of a city. It used a simple but fairly neat 'war-score' mechanic to determine the conflict's overall outcome.

I was thinking more along the lines of medieval D&D style adventures. I do own War of the Burning Sky (though I haven't played or ran it) and RHoF, but was looking for something that put the players right into the action from the very start, sort of 'in media res', instead of building up the circumstances that lead into the conflict/war.

Dimitri Mazieres you could always use the age old "Congratulations you've just been conscripted into the King's Army". I remember a friend who used this.

You could also just have the town/city where the players are currently at come under siege by an enemy army... do they flee trying to evade enemy patrols or help the defenders hold off the enemy until the friendly reinforcements arrive.

Then there is the classic the party is traveling when suddenly they are caught by a patrol or between the two armies as they begin fighting.

WotBS actuallly does start with the war underway and Gate Pass under siege.

I ran most of RoT as a war campaign with the players at the heart of the spy/counter-spy operation against the Cult, and in their downtime the party directed the armed forces of the Lord's Alliance.
