Publisher for card game?

This is not, strictly speaking, an "e-" topic -- although one could argue that the diffuse business communications and transmission of materials over the Internet now brings a lot of work into the e-realm. I just thought the wise folks on this board might be able to point me in the right direction.

Let's say I've got a card game in the works -- fully fleshed out and tested rules, market niche identified, cards designed with art prepped, etc. -- and now I'm looking for a small, "boutique" publisher to print the cards at a reasonable price. Where would you suggest I head to next? I'm looking for a general or specific reference, hopefully a reputable company easy to work with.

wow, so many phrases that don't belong in the same sentence... "small boutique publisher", "print the cards" and "reasonable price". Best you can manage is two of the three, take your pick. Lowest prices we've seen at ARP for card printers is $7.00 a deck for a 74-card set, provided you're ordering 2,000 decks. It did include shrinkwrapping and boxing the deck, however. Unfortunately, independent card printers are few and far between here in the United States. Most or corporate outfits, filling only the needs of the company's product lines.

May I ask what ARP is? I was trying to get the same info at one point, but then i decided no matter what it would be too expensive and opted on a cheaper route. I am still curious though ^^

You would probably be better off looking into board game publishing websites for details on selling a card game depending on the kind of card game you have made. While several of the print RPG publishers do print card games, they are not the only publishers of card games.

Like anything, you need to find a company willing to look at your stuff.
