So what are some of the bigger/cool products we can expect to see down the road?
I know I'm looking forward to the following:
AEG: Warlords. Sure, it's got a funky name but... I'm also extremely curious to see what's coming next after Secrets of the Dragon. Perhaps a Ronin book or even the Burning Sands? This is even more unknown since Paradigm is doing a L5R book with the Bloodspeakers. Anyone know what other one word d20 books they've got coming down the line?
Atlas Games: Crime and Punishment. It's just something I want to see. I hope that there are several maps of prisons and other goodies I can use against my players. I'm curious to see how their version of the bounty hunter works as well.
Bad Axe: I'm very curious to see how Grim Tales works. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that Halflings and Gnomes are both going to be 3.5 but Grim Tales looks like something I've messed with several times in terms of what I've wanted the game to feel like.
Bastion: While Arena will probably add a lot of room to Oathbound and Out for Blood looks to add some more options for vampires, but I'm really dying to see Doom Striders. I just can't help but wonder how much I'll be able to use this with Mecha d20 and d20 Mecha Compendium and Airships and Cry Havok and steal, I mean borrow, from shows like Escaflowne. Of course the hardcover with the gods should be interesting and the book Into the Black should build nicely on the first Into the Green book... but Doom Striders man!
Chainmail Bikkini: Anyone know if Call of Duty is getting the 3.5 treatment? I'd love to see that stuff officialy updated to match the new paladin abilities and other goods. The job on Beyond Monks offered a lot to players of all types of martial artists.
Dream Pod 9: Anyone know when their deluxe version of the d20 Mecha Compendium is coming out? I'm dying to see those miniatures and hope that hte expanded book has more fantasy and steampunk in it.
Eden Studios: I know I'm not the only one waiting for the book of War and Waysides. Patience eh? Bah I say, unleash the hounds! I am looking forward to the new adventure/setting book though. Island settings always seem to work well as they can be plopped down pretty much just about anywhere. Good luck on that.
Fantasy Flight: Portals and Planes has a lot of ground to cover and a lot of people claim that Manual of the Planes was one of WoTC top books so I'm very curious to see how this one comes out. Elemental Lore should be a good read as I don't recall ever seeing a huge amount of elemental creatures in any book although it'll be hard to top the elemental princes of evil (which WoTC screwed up with their fiction line by introducing good versions... bah!) Any word on when the other schools of magic will be hitting the shelves? I'm dying to see a Conjuration book as both the illusion and evocation books were great and conjuration, unlike necromancy, hasn't been beaten to death and raised as an undead chicken.
Fast Forward: I actually thought that their Demon Wars was a good start and some of their latter material looks like it's heading in the right direction. I'm very curious to see how their Demon Wars Player's Guide goes as well as their Annoted Player's Handbook. Hear the Sage skipped out on it though so I'm curious to see whose picking up the ball there.
Fiery Dragon: Alright guys, I know you read the boards. What's the next thing? Another Arcana Unearthed? What ever happened to Gates of Oblivion?
Guardians of Order: d20 Mecha anyone? That looks good but the Game of Thrones looks oh so much better. I thought that d20 Anime was much closer to standard d20 in terms of utility with actual d20 games than Silver Age Sentinels was so I'm hoping that Game of Thrones is pretty much mixible out of the box with certain things like classes, PrCs, monsters, etc... Is d20 Slayers still an October release? Haven't seen the cover on the site yet.
Goodman Games: Man, they look to have a lot on their plate. Funny that not that long ago, I wasn't part of that audience of the whole dinosaur thing but their fantasy books are great. I know I'm looking forward to most of their books including Underdark Adventuer's Guide (I want to see how it fares against Into the Black and the FFG book), Primevial Groves (ditto), Morningstar, Monsters of the Boundless Blue (Hoping that I'll be able to do some stuff with MEG's the Deep and it.) Anyone know about Blackmore or their next Complete Guide? Maybe something with Lizard Folk or a good generic sourcebook on the Elder Gods/Old Ones?
Green Ronin: Well, right off the bat I know that Skull & Bones is looking way above Avalanche's book. I'm also dying to see The Book of Fiends of Course and The Noble's Handbook, a 3.5 treatment of the class. Bow and Blade should be interesting but it's not one of the books GR's putting out that I'm salivating over like the first two. Ah, Mindshadows. I knew I was forgetting something. I hope that WoTC doesn't make too many drastic Psionic changes but in the meanwhile, this book should be cool for that alternative setting thing. Lastly, what about Black Sails over Freeport or the first three adventurers combined, expanded and 3.5ed?
Kenzer & Co. The pirates book looks pretty sharp but I'm very curious to see how Stealth & Style does as it focuses on KoK core classes. Will they be included in the book, updated to 3.5? The revised KoK shield will be another goodsend as the first one was fantastic. I'm also hoping we'll see more details and a mock cover on Siege Warfare soon. Since Warcraft, an official D&D setting is using Cry Havok, will this book too?
Living Imagination: I'm not too crazy about their setting but I like their take on rituals via Spellbound and the material in Agents of Faith and I'm looking forward to Charge!
Mongoose: Man, they sure do have a lot of books in veins I don't look (Armagedon, B5, Macho Women W/Guns),at but I'm very curious to see how their Q. Half-Orc does and of course, Conan and Lone Wolf. It'll be interesting to see the Book of Dragons. Hope that the overlap between it and their SGtDragons is minimal if any. SgTDemons looks like another strong book and their Strongholds book looks good too. I think I saw an ad for a horror d20 game by them. Is that going to be open like the cyberpunk one?
MonkeyGod. That last module was a killer and the sourcebook before that top notch and still in use by my group today. Frost & Fur has a lot to live up to. What's next in terms of sourcebooks though?
Malhavok: I'm looking forward to the print version of the screen and Cry Havok and Anger of Angels but Chaos Tech is what I'm really waiting for. I'm also hoping that we'll see a collected hardcover Book of Eldrich Might updated to 3.5 with an appendix to AU. Any sneak peaks at the 04' stuff or still too early?
Mystic Eye Games: I'm glad that the guys are over here all the time as I didn't see the Deep on the webpage or the next book by Ed. The Deep should be great, especially if I can combine it with some of the other books on this massive list. Underwater Doom Striders? Any word on when Librum Equitis 2 is hitting the stands in book form? Updated to 3.5? Will Mystic Warriors be updated to 3.5 or foled into the revised Hunt book in '04? How's Fall of Man coming along? Is that 3.5 or d20 Modern or strict OGL now?
Necromancer Games: Ah, rarely does a company have two campaign starters that I want. The Lost City looks great from talks so far and of course, the City State is like Blackmoor, an original.
Otherworld: How's that next book in the vertigo line coming along? Is this the City one? I hope it's got an edge on FFG's City Works book.
Paradigm: I'm excited by the whole Bloodspeakers thing. They've always been a powerful foe for players at all levels so this should be a good one to have. Is Arcanis or the Spell Decks getting 3.5 anytime soon?
Perperated Press: Their last book was pretty good, a step up I thought from Factory. Does anyone know if they have another book planned or ?
Privateer Press: Okay, seriously now, what major demon do we have to smite in order to get the campaign setting on the shelves? I know that the art is going to be great and if the Gun Mage is any indication, the content is going to be great as well. Any word on the shelf date of the Witchfire trilogy revised?
Ronin Arts: Is this what all of the stuff under Philip J Reed should be now amigo? I know that you've been pumping out the various Forbidden Arcana stuff but what about the 101 Treasures of Freeport? Any sneak peaks at that anytime soon? I hope that it doesn't just focus on pirate stuff but also some ancient, elder things. Any more mega advnetuers? Still going through the Clockwork heart and this has a lot of potential to really rip into a standard campaign if the players and DM don't know what their doing. This is good in my opinion! Keep 'em moving I say.
RPG Objects: Darwin's World 2nd Edition eh? Will that included the monsters or is that getting a seperate book? The first monster book still gets some use in my fantasy campaign and boy, player's sure don't like those mutant bears I tell you.
Second World: Will we see any more support for the second world Sourcebook? I'm still working my way through my copy (so the review will happen one day!) and my friends keep bugging me about Wardens or something...
Silverthrone: Any ETA on the Template book or the Race book 3? I'm hoping that sales from the various races books will be enough to warrant a print copy in hardcover. Be nice to have those races updated to 3.5 with more information. The art and style was great too and I suspect that you'd reach a broader audience.
Sword & Sorcery Studios: I'm sure many are waiting for Gamma World but I'm much more curious to see how Warcraft develops. It was good but at the same time left me wanting more but not wanting to spend much more. Does that make sense? I don't think that the book was overpriced by itself, but in comparission to other d20 books on the market... it was a little up there. The various Player's Guides look good too and I'm dying to see the Monk book not only for the updated entry that was missing from the Creature Collection, but also to hopefully see some stuff for the Mithril Monks who use swords. and I would still kill for an Exalted d20. I know, Heresy, but I'm hoping that Morninstar and Dawnforge have some of those fantasy elements in 'em.
The Game Mechanics: Anyone know if they've got another Cromagh Guide coming out? The first one was a good start and might be a viable alternative to the Complete and Slayer's Guide with the half-orc as a guide. I hope we see another book for priests in the vein of Artifacts of the Ages, covering maces or something holy like that.
Troll Lord: I'm dying to see how the book of Names by Gygax comes out. I'm a sucker for books like that, regardless of system as I even own a few baby name books. Still waiting to see the old Path of the Magi and hope to hear more details about it's fighter based sequel.
I'm sure I missed some obvious companies and for that I apologize but those are all I could think of via bookmarks and other comments on these boards here.
