Well, over at
Sword's Edge Publishing, we're getting things back in order. Rob Wakefield, who did the cover for
the Qalashar Device has come on board to help with cartography, design and layout. With him on board, things are going smoothly and we've got everything back on track.
No one's going to Gen Con. I can barely get holidays to take my wife camping. It's a busy summer.
As for SEP releases, you can look for:
Roles and Classes: this is a selection of small products detailing three "specialized classes," three military prestige classes and a compilation of the talent trees from all six. A specialized class is a step between a basic class and an advanced class. Think of it as a "pre-advanced" class. Its main purpose is to allow a level of specialization in low-level games. This weekend sees the release of
the Capable Hero specialized class. Each week will see a new release: the Counter-Terrorism Assaulter prestige class (an updated version of the class presented in
Raid on Ashkashem), the Special Operations Marksman prestige class (an updated version of the class presented in
the Qalashar Device), the Combat Hero specialized class, the Spec Ops Recce prestige class and the Covert Hero specialized class. People who have purchased
Raid on Ashkashem and/or
the Qalashar Device will receive an RTF file with the new CT Assaulter and/or Marksman OGC, though it will not include the other elements of the product.
September 1 will see the release of
the Khorforjan Gambit. This product has been delayed so much I doubt anyone even cares anymore, but we are putting it out to complete the Albenistan Series. We're very proud of this product. A complete non-linear adventure set in the second largest city in Albenistan,
the Khorforjan Gambit has the PCs racing to stop an extremist group from using a biological weapon in the middle of a city not yet recovered from civil war and wrestling with an influx of internally displaced persons.
October 15 heralds the release of
Special Operations: Covert Forces. This sourcebooks offers in-depth looks at the Australian SASR, Canada's JTF-2, the Navy SEALs and Delta Force from the United States and the United Kingdom's SAS and SBS. There are smaller blurbs on a variety of units from around the world--from Algeria's Saaykaa (Commandos) to the Ukraine's Spetznaz Brigade, with plenty of stops in between. The sourcebook also includes new feats, systems for aerial insertions including HAHO and HALO parachute insertions, and new equipment that could be used on a covert or special operations mission.
Our first release for Arcane Kingdoms is out of the gate, but we aren't going to make any promises until we are positive we can deliver. There will be a product out 1 February 2006, though what this will be depends on due dates being reached. With our
Khorforjan Gambit disaster, I hesitate to give any details until we have something locked down. All I can say is that there will be a release on February 1.
Thanks all and take care.
