Publishers, what are your big hitters for Gen Con?

No, ah formal releases, but once Urban Arcana is out I'll be posting Dragon Earth material on my site. Current plans include a timeline, a basic geography, and an overview of the world now.

The first (playtest) installment of the ARD (Alan's Reference Document) is available. It covers general information on dragons, and is apt to get revised at odd moments. How it gets revised can be influenced by the feedback I get. Email me privately for a copy. Further installments will cover the chromatic and metallic dragons.

Before I forget, I will be limiting myself to the dragons in the SRD or the d20 SRD.

BTW, the ARD version of general dragon info takes up 5 pages, and will grow even bigger.:)

In addition, when the ARD is done every d20 product I produce will be, so to speak, dual stated but still entirely d20.:)

Current plans are to make material available on my site, and in PDF. When I have enough to make a decent book, I'll make it available for sale in PDF (display and print optimized versions) via RPGNow. The ARD will always be free.

Lastly, we're going to do our best to have Ssethregore available at the con. Written by an actual Herpatologist (basically a guy who studies reptiles) this sourcebook deals with the swampy remnants of the once continent spanning empire of intelligent reptiliads. Filled with new races, feats, PClasses, spells, and more for our scaly friends, fans of Robert E. Howard's fantasy will enjoy the treatment this ancient race recieves.

now this is gonna be a must see! Can you give us any more details on this setting?

We have been holding back a few things until the release of 3.5. If that goes off on schedule then we'll have Frost & Fur: The Explorer's Guide to the Frozen Lands at GenCon. This is the first of our explorer's guides and we're looking forward to seeing how it is received. Its a hardcover detailing just about everything you'll need to know as a player or DM to game in a polar region.

Combat Missions (for Spycraft) a collection of 15 mini-missions, each of which can be completed in one night's worth of play or strung together to form a mini-campaign will debuting as well as...

Heh, two of books I wrote out at the same time! Maybe THIS will be the year I can point at stuff on the shelf and say, "See, I wrote THAT!"

Last year, two of my upcoming hardcovers and the dragon magazine article all missed Gen Con by anywhere from a few days to a few months. Oh well...

Actually, now that I think about it, Relics from AEG may be out by then too.

Hey, cool! My uncle's a herpetologist (married to an ichthyologist). If you need any extra freelancers, let me know and I'll see if he's available. :) Regardless, that sounds like a very cool book.

Goodman Games will have Blackmoor, of course, as Dustin has already covered. We should also have our July releases, which aren't yet announced -- Monsters of the Boundless Blue (next in the Wanderers Guild series) and Beyond Monks: Art of the Fight (an expanded print version of the best-selling PDF from Chainmail Bikini). Umm, I guess these not-yet-announced books are now announced. :)

Ah, Beyond Monks finally gets the recognition that it deserves.

Ssethregore

Hello Leopold,

<<now this is gonna be a must see! Can you give us any more details on this setting?>>

We devoted an entire chapter to the Ssethregorans and their Empire in the Codex Arcanis, but these scaly horrors deserve more than just a chapter.

Being a HUGE Howard fan since I was a kid, the Ssethregorans are loosley based upon Howard's primordial villains. They are a confederation of Reptiliads lorded over in ancient time by the Mighty Ssanu (Serpent Men) whose mastery over the hoary arts and forbidden sorcery created many abominations including the Elorii (Arcanis Elves) as a slave race.

Ssethregore (the book) will detail the rise and fall of this antediluvian Empire, their current status under the iron rule of the Nagas, new reptiliad members of their nation including many new Egg Clutches of Ss'ressen to bedevil your PCs.

The book will be written from an Arcanis perspective, however, much of this can be ported over to any campaign that has a large swampy area in which to drop this villainous nation.

Hope this answers your question.

Best,

Of course now that I finally have the PDF of Beyond Monks, someone is making a print copy. I'll be getting it anyways, I prefer having a book I can look at anytime and not need a computer to read.:D

I feel your pain TX :) I bought the pdf on DM's Day and now, of course, it's coming out in print. I console myself by saying that it was on sale and I was also supporting the NC crew. But I'm still gonna shell out $$ for the print version. Darn!
