We've got blue and mauve shelled crabs already - the mauve ones sometimes look purple - albeit a much darker purple than these fluorescent crustacea.

Are they really that 'new' and unusual??

How about a purple reef lobster instead? Or if you really want some color, try a peacock mantis shrimp .

I don't do saltwater aquariums, but if I did, I'd love a peacock mantis!
