There IS the level buyoff rules... further, keep in mind this race might be very good regardless. The Master of the Unseen Hand PrC is suited to this sort of character, especially if you want to focus on making him/her/it a fighter of sorts.

Why not build a fighter that isn't even in the suit of armor? =)

Level buyoff is a variant rule, and not all DMs allow it (myself included).

More important than a lack of compassion amongst DMs (really would we be any fun if we weren't sadistic?) the best epic buy off rules I've ever seen wouldn't kick in until epic with this monster.

I believe he would do his first buyoff at 12. The next at 21. Then 27. Then 30.

Remember MOnster HD and LA don't count for buy off.
