Put a spell in a weapon

Consider a Cure Wounds spell. Just make a nonlethal attack on your ally and the spell will cure all of the nonlethal along with doing its regular HP thing. Lets you deliver a heal in combat without provoking and as part of a full attack action (so your other attacks are regular attacks against enemies).

Sorry all for an unforgivable delay in answering :( Internet down and then vacation!

Oh well, better late than never :)

As for putting the dispel in the weapon, I think thats a fantastic idea....but as was said, the greater dispel would have been better by far :) Which do you guys think is better...to have a very small chance to dispel a spell or to inflict damage (at least some if the save is made)? As for the poison, I agree that it is a great spell, but again the save is really small...so to me inflict is still the best way to go.

As for the cure spell, that is a good idea aswell :) However I have divine metamagic with Reach spell...so distance is not an issue (still think I shoudl have taken quicken instead of Reach...but it save lives quite fast...so i guess its a worthy feat:) so far :)

If you guys have any other ideas..feel free to let me know :)

Thansk,

Al

Put a Cure Serious Wounds in a weapon that is also Merciful. The merciful damage, being non-lethal, will automatically be negated by the healing effect. Put it on a hammer or club or something else you can throw (and, make Returning) for ranged healing goodness!

I would agree that grater dispell would be better, but it wasnt an option for me (3rd level spell storeing cold iron long sword).

I considered lightening bolt and shocking grasp and similar damageing spells, but it was the bad guys magical defences that my fighter/ pally couldnt tolerate. The prevaleance of energy imunities and SR uberness made any zark type spells pointless in his opinion. I (he) was a realy rather crappy paladin who'd converted to Pelor for RP reasons (wis 11 cha 8 heh) so all that magical malarkey was beyond me.

The crowning moment for me was when a caster dispeled my levitate and droped me on my rump, so I charged across the room and dispelled his fly before he could run of giggleing like a loon.

Your mileage is gona vary no matter what you sitck in there. So I tend to go with spells that might, just might, remove a major anoyance. I seem to recall putting a Fairy Fire in it once to whup an assassin, I got covered in purple too mind you, but the assassin didnt leave the cave alive.
