Howdy,

I would like to introduce our little project called Conflict Roleplaying. An RPG supplement written and designed by Mark Scott, John Ling, Amber Scott and Brendan Davis. Here is an excerpt about the table-top game and how to get your hands on a copy. Let us know what you think!

PVP + PFRPG

At its heart, Conflict® is like any other roleplaying game. You have stats that determine what your character can do, you determine his actions, and you roleplay his exchanges with the world. The difference is that Conflict® focuses on tactical combat versus other players and teams. Driving the combat are clearly defined objectives and your team's will to win. These matches are about tactics, strategic planning and a new way to have fun with the game you already love. This system is fully compatible with the Pathfinder® Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook™.

The Conflict Roleplaying Rulebook is designed for competitive, team vs. team roleplaying which includes:
•The Battlepoint System™—For ensuring game balance among characters and levels..
•Match Types™—Different objectives, challenges or scenarios that make each match surprisingly unique.
•Map Elements™— Magical devices that hinder opposing teams or enhance your teammates.
•Conflict Laws™—Rules that dictate character classes, environmental handicaps or player interactions.
•Team Feats™—Feats that grant bonus and special abilities to teammates when they compete together.
•Pre-generated characters—for immediate play with multiple spell lists or worn weapons for each character.
•Passcards™ —Templates to adjudicate player character’s hidden movements and actions.

This book also contains the framework needed for GMs to create their own designs of any of the following:
Conflict-Compatible Maps | Conflict Laws | Map Elements | Character Building

We are pretty entrenched in generic DND so I don't think I can convince my group to go to pathfinder even though at least 1/2 of them like it. But i wanted to know if the system was compatible with WOTC DnD. One of my DM's has had a hard time making PvP elements, without forcing us to stay in the level up 'sweet spot'.

yeah I preordered this when I saw the banner ad. I got it about a week ago. My group played two team vs teams matches one night. Really good stuff, we had a blast. It more of a framework that a full-blown system but it gives you everything you need to play a couple of teams against each other. They have some cool objectives in there matches and Map elelment - which are like magic items or creatues you can have fight or work for your team.

One cool thing is their map, its really well done.

oh yeah, I meant to answer this post, but had a brain fart.

we use 3.5 too. There are one or two things that you would have to change back to 3.5 but thats really easy stuff. the main book as about 10 pre-made characters in the back. (which we used as NPCs in my campaign.) The Pre-made are pathfinder, but again its an easy change back to regular 3.5

If you go cleric, see if your DM will let you raise the skeleton's on either side of the map.

There's so much entertainment in making plans with a team. My favorite game type is regicide. The other team had a bard who used illusion to cast the magic crown over everyone's head. By the time we found the real kind it was to late.

Thanks Marko for the kind words.

I also wanted to point out the conversation with AtomicArray. In case you didn't hear about it. :)

The Renown Atomic Array Podcast recently featured Conflict Roleplaying on their show. It has some great insight about the conflict system, in case you were on the fence about the product.
