[Q] Arsenal & Factory in Dragonstar

I just bought these two books, and for the most part think they are brilliantly done (save some of the art, but no matter).

Has anyone added these books to their DS campaign?

I kinda compared the weapons and armor from Arsenal to DS and they seem to be relatively balanced, although price to damage or AC are skewed a little to Arsenal for the higher end weapons and armor.

If anyone has done this, or did a comparison on these books for use with DS, please post your thoughts on it. Any other opinions would be greatly appreciated so that I can weigh the cost/efficiency ratio in an unbiased and fair manner.

I haven't used them YET. But if I ever play a DS campaign or port over my FR PC's I will use these books. I plan on trying out the AC as DR system in Arsenal in the near future. It looks good to me and makes a lot of sense to my mind. I am also interested in hearing how these two books impact a DS campaign.

I have debated about using the DR system as well when I start my DS campaign. It seems that at higher levels of AC, it become nearly impossible to hit anyone, so the DR system makes sense.

Exactly! My players are mid-level at the moment, but I can forsee that very problem. And I like the idea of a high level character just soaking up damage no matter how often he is hit. Until the Bad Guy with the Really Big Gun shows up...
