So if they were normally looking half naked women it wouldn't be equating them to sex, but since they are attractive it is. Sorry I don't see the logic there.

However, I am very disturbed by the reference to the "artists" of the book in a plural and general way. Regardless of topless falling into the classification of "bad taste", "light porn" or "commercial gimmick", I just wanted to state that I myself as an artist have never done any sexist pic and I have worked on both books of the Quintessential line. Due to a printing error, my name does not appear in the credits for the Quintessential Fighter (and Mongoose was very nice to apologize for that) but it does appear in The Quintessential Rogue.

I don't have the book, and frankly, I wasn't interested in getting it even before I heard about this. Now, I might just go to the bookstore and mock it. It seems like Mongoose is just having this kind of art to appeal to lewd gamers and reinforce female stereotypes. I haven't seen the art, but it seems like it's presented as sexual. How many men are there in Mongoose's books that are flashing a gleaming smile, trying to woo all the women gamers out there.

Cergorach said:I don't know how things are in other places, but nudity and sex are part of our daily lives, why would it be 'bad' to display something like that in a RPG book? On the other hand killing, maiming and racial hatred are NOT part of our daily lives and yet we DO see that depicted in RPG books, isn't that strange...
