Quck Wand question.

It's not in the rules, but some DMs allow it.

I think a wand is cool enough just for getting to cast a spell 50 times. That's what the DMG cost is for. If you made it rechargable, I would make it more expensive.

Can you recharge a Wand?

By the rules? No. By my rules? Yes. I allow a wand to be recharged using the item creation rules for pricing, meaning you just pay the difference.

I'd probably allow it so long as they paid the xp as well as the gp costs. Otherwise you are making wands more powerful. And you'd better be prepared to answer the same question with repsect to staves, rings, and anything else with spell charges in it.

Edit: Oh, and they'd need the "Craft Wands" feat in order to do it.

Actually, the PC Did take it.

He has a wand of Lightning he doesn't know how many charges are left, and wants to know if he can recharge it, or probably just make his own.

Really, it Would be best if he made his own; more damage.
