The strange thing about warlocks is that most of the really meaty support is in dragon, while most other classes generally get the most out of their X Power books (or players handbook).
You can take feats to make curse damage both brutal and 1d8. You can regain missed encounter powers at the cost of HP. You can take a 2nd pact at paragon.
Warlocks are the most 'spread out' class in the game, with core bits in PHB1, Arcane Power, FR, DS and dragon. You can build a pretty effective one at this point, but doing it without the DDI to tie everything together would be a bit maddening.
Starlocks really need a cleanup, which sucks because their flavor is awesome. Almost all of their kickers are based really want Int and their pact power is Con, but lots of the really cool powers are Cha. So even the Cha/Con split means you don't get much from the awesome star-pact only kickers that rely on Int. Just making Dire Radiance Con or Cha would go a long way to making them more playable, ideally they could do that for an encounter power or two at every level.
Hexblade does look awesome, though.
