Question about Consecrate

The spell consecrate is roughly twice as cool when it's cast within 20 ft of a "permanent fixture dedicated to the character's deity, pantheon, or aligned higher power."

What would that include? For instance, in the case of a cathedral, would the cathedral itself be included in the definition of 'fixture' or would the altar itself have to be the focal point of the casting?

To me, since a cathedral is generally dedicated to a specific diety, it falls under the above category. The altar itself, obviously does as well.

Comments? Opinions? Hard evidence?
