Question about mindblast and wildshape

So our weekend game is over and it´s in the middle of the night and I´ve alot of questions. Books not here so once again I turn to the kind people of ENworld.
Scenario:
A group of mindflayers attacks and one of them mindblasts at init. 20 something. Several of us are stunned. At init.14 I wildshape into a Goblin Bear (from Creature Collection) with Immunitiy from mindbased attacks and fear.
Can I wildshape when stunned?
If I can, I´m I a stunned bear, or can I act as nomal?
If there is a rule about this,where can I find it?

While you're stunned, you can't take any actions, so no, you can't Wild Shape while stunned.

You could Elemental Wild Shape when your paralyzed, however...

Bear in mind too (hah!) that you do not take on special qualities of your target animal...which immunity to mind-affecting attacks would certainly be considered. Thus, you might turn into a goblin bear (though not when you're stunned), but you wouldn't get the nice immunity that real ones get.

For that, you'd need Plant Wildshape...though there's a lot of ongoing debate even of that, really.

And no mention of it in the errata.

Sigh.

Somehow I was under the impression that wildshape is an ablilty that somehow not counts as an action,more like a "at will" thing.Strange.
The Goblin Bear was awesome in this special adventure,with all this mindflayer stuff going around. Really cool guy.
