I wanted to get some feedback on a question regarding staffs (or staves, whatever). The rules in the DMG are somewhat ambiguous/incomplete. Staffs use the owner's level and feats to determine the effects. The DC is based on the caster's statistics and feats. Other feats such as Spell Penetration are applicable for rolls against SR, even though it never directly states that feats help in this arena.
My Question:
What about other feats that automatically enhance spell effectiveness without affecting SR rolls and DC's, such as Augmented Healing (for a Staff of Healing or Life), Initiate of Ilmater, or Augmented Summoning? It would seem to be not too huge of a jump in logic, but I can't find any information to support or refute my thoughts. 3.5 Core rulebooks did not have these kinds of feats, so I am pretty sure that I will not find my answers in the DMG.
