Question for DTP Wizards

This is especially for publishers in fact. I have a technical question which is annoying me alot!

I am creating a character sheet in Word, and so far it is going pretty well and looking good to my eye. Now I want to be able to convert this to PDF format for other people (and my convenience) when it is completed. Obviously I don't have full Acrobat - so I am using WordToPDF with GhostScript. This works by simulating the printing of the file and converting the postscript files into the PDF.

My question is, in order to get the best quality conversion, which printer would anyone recommend (or has used to create a PDF in a similar manner) me to emulate so that the resulting file is in pretty damned good quality. Any help appreciated.

Lots of people have Acrobat. I only have Acrobat 5 (I think they are on 6), but I or other people would be happy, I am sure, to convert to PDF for you.

The "quality" of the printer is essentially irrelavent, pretty much any modern printer will do at least 600 dpi output. That's far more than you need for something like this, unless perhaps you have very high resolution background artwork and such. Just use a print driver for pretty much any HP laserjet that is currently sold. Besides idealy speaking you should be using object oriented (postscript) art and postscript fonts. Once processed into a PDF they should adjust to the resolution of the printer that the end user is using.
